My Favourite Things Monday: Video Games

Oh hai guys!

For this week's MFTM I'm going to share my newest video game favourites. This is by no means a complete list of all my favourites. Instead I chose to keep it more recent so that I could keep the list short.

Let's get this party started shall we?

Arkham Asylum: This game is so much fun. I tried it as a demo on Greg's PS3 and was so addicted that when I was done the demo I went out and bought it for my xbox. I think the coolest part of this game is all the character cameos. They have everyone from Clayface to Calendar Man which is awesome if you know what you're looking for. If you're not a huge Batman nerd like me then you still get all the fan favourites like The Joker and Poison Ivy. The only thing I don't like about this game is Harley's outfit. Wtf is up with the purple and red nurse combo? Anyways, I'm super excited for Arkham City to come out soon!

Portal 2: I've already mentioned once how much I love this game but I'm going to say it again. The co-op in this game is so awesome! And I love the personalities of the two robots. They are hilarious.

Little Big Planet 2: I never played the first one, but I wish I had. This game is a lot of fun because of all the customization you can do in it! I love making adorable little sack people and you can even make and play your own levels. I'm currently in the middle of playing this game, and I really don't see an end in sight, but if I ever get to the end (?) then I'll let you know how the whole game is. So far it's awesome!

Katamari Forever: Nothing is a better cure for a mentally exhausting day than this game. It involves no thinking because all you do is roll a katamari (a giant ball-type thing) around various worlds collecting odds and ends until you've reached a certain size or the time limit you've been given. It's seriously SO easy to play yet SO addicting (I blame the music). I think I finished Katamari Forever in 2 nights. The characters are all adorable too.

Dead Rising 2: This is another game where I never played the first one but I wish I had. The basic gist of this game is you are a guy named Chuck and you run around killing zombies non-stop while the plot progresses. This game is seriously AWESOME because of all the super cool weapons you can create. Have a box of nails and a bat? No problem, put them together and you have a spiked bat to beat zombies off with. Got a kayak paddle and chainsaws? Simple, duct tape them together and you get the badass Paddle Saw pictured above! I swear if this game was just making weapons I would still buy it, but throw in killing off giant hordes of zombies and you have yourself a wicked good time!

What are some of your favourite things this week?
