My Favourite Things Monday: Audrey Kawasaki
I have been obsessed with Audrey Kawasaki's art for years because she paints the most hauntingly beautiful girls I've ever seen. Why are they so sad? What are they thinking? I can't help but wonder every time I look.
What I love most about these paintings though is her use of wood and muted colours. I love that all her work is done on cuts of wood and furthermore she uses the wood grain to add soft or bold textures to her art. It has such an organic and calming feel to it. (Look at me sounding all artsy...NOT.)
Anyways, I hope you enjoy these paintings as much as I do!
Now my question to you; what artists do you love? I'd love for you to share them with me!
