Antique Market

On Saturday Greg and I made a trip up to the Pickering Markets to check out their newest Roadshow Antiques market. I have such fond memories of this place because my parents would take my sisters and I antique shopping there all the time. Never would you find 3 kids more excited to be dragged around to look at old junk. But what our good behaviour really meant was: if we were good kids then our parents would buy us old-school Betty & Veronica comics! So naturally we were 3 little angels. (Or at least I hope we were).

Unfortunately the older and more interested in antiques I became, the more the 'antique' portion of the market dwindled and all that was left was a booth that sold antique replicas. It became quite the bummer. So you can imagine how delighted I was to hear they added an Antique Market again! Let me tell you, I was like a kid in a candy shop!








I kid you not, I was beaming from ear to ear while running up and down the isles. I think I said to Greg at least a half dozen times that being there made me the happiest girl on the planet! And of course he would just laugh at me until some cool gadget caught his eye.

I think we've found a new tradition to add to our list of date days! I seriously can't wait to get back there and do some shopping!
